Time to post! 

I went to this speech and debate contest in Ventura to support one of the homies. I heard some awesome poetry and prose. Man this one girl was HELLA FUNNY “..and that was the last thing Nigel said.” 

Anyways… I finished up my final internship for Physical Therapy school, man it was tough. Literally the hardest commitment I have ever experienced. Hit me for further details if you like. 

Well, I want to start reading some good books. Any suggestions? I read Silver Linings Playbook and Ender’s Game a couple of weeks ago to take some stress off of work, those two books were awesome. I highly recommend them. 

I discovered quickly that the love and support of my friends and family has really brought me through hard times out here, appreciate and love your family as much as you can. Anything can happen. 

Can’t wait to come home.

This research paper is taking up my life. It’s like the T-rex from Jurassic Park and I’m running away from it. Tumblr is the greatest way to procrastinate. When i’m at the library I’m like a dog trying to find the perfect sitting position, twirling around and around before I find the right spot. Time to get in the zone and sit here writing my paper till  I feel satisfied with how much work I’ve gotten done. Wreck it Ralph was awesome! My favorite Disney Pixar up-to-date. I super read into the movie after I watched it with my #dynamitegal. 

I can’t wait to go home and be finished with this school shin-dig. I’ve got to admit, its a really exciting transition in my life. Gloomy days in LA are rare but I kind of like it. I don’t think I can handle it everyday but it’s a good change from the usual super hot and sunny. 

I’ve bought prefabricated orthotic in-soles for my shoes and I love them. I suggest you go out and get some for your foot type, makes walking more comfortable. 

I’ve learned that writing well takes practice. Keep your document in the same tense and use direct prose. Avoid a passive writing style because it is boring. For example: Clifford, the big red dog, is huge. Try: Clifford is a huge big red dog. haha something like that.

Today marks the second day of my second week at Olive View Medical Center. I have to learn spanish quick. OVMC is a county hospital. Most or our patients do not have health insurance and most of the population only speak spanish. My clinical instructor is filipino and she is fluent in medical spanish. I’ve evaluated e patients as of now. I could get the hang of this gig. What I haven’t gotten used to is my schedule of life. When I get home from work I get pretty tired. I want to go to the gym and study after work. To do so, i should probably sleep earlier.

My sister is graduation from UC Davis this weekend. Come out if you know whats up! we’re trying to get the biggest scream crowd. VALLEJO APACHES GO FIGHT WIN!!!

Almost done with my second year! wow. Woke up at 6am for an exam at 745am. I did well. 2 more exams and I’m home free for a couple of weeks before I start working at Olive View- UCLA Medical Center Out-Patient Physical Therapy. Hope to go on some good hikes in the Bay Area, grill some good BBQ and chill with some good company. 

A prayer for healing: I pray for all those who need healing. Those who are hurt from others, those who are upset with themselves, those who don’t get along with their family. May God’s healing be upon you. May understanding and humility be in your heart to help you heal from what ever is hurting you.

I’m happy to see my family. I’d like to think that we’ve grown a little stronger, a little wiser, a little more understanding and more humble. Can’t wait to surprise my mom with her mother’s day gift. The sibs decided to put some green together and buy her something awesome.

I’m happy to see my friends. Phone calls are awesome but it will be good to have talk over some good food or on a good walk. Nothing beats that.

Believe this … Clippers’ playoff comeback is stunning: They look to be history by halftime against fired-up Memphis, but then go all Cinderella in a quick, fantastic turnaround. After the victory, the Clippers appear to be floating on air.
